Aftercare Program

The St. Clair Institute Aftercare Program is an evidenced based pre- and post-release adult aftercare/reintegration program for offenders and reentrants that seek to ensure their successful transition into the community.

The St. Clair Institute’s Mental Health Services Program provides quality comprehensive mental health services for the underserved populations within the USVI.

barriers to mental health care is reduced for vulnerable underserved populations including ex-offenders, homeless individuals, those in substance use recovery, and individuals needing mental health treatment but unable to afford or access treatment

increasing access to care, enabling them to receive comprehensive, evidenced based mental health care, substance use recovery services and interventions, crisis stabilization, housing stabilization, and intensive case management utilized to assess, advocate, and bridge supportive services

community partners, recovery support advocates, correctional systems, federal, territorial, and local government commit to and work together to create a continuum of care that connects clients to needed services, support strong family/friend relationships, advocate for our clients, and share client and community progress and best practices

Then

vulnerable individuals will experience an overall improvement in their quality of life and life circumstances that includes reduction in recidivism, maintained sobriety, housing stabilization, improved relationships; leading to decreased crime and improved public safety, and therefore enabling individuals, families, and communities to experience social and economic gains.
